Merriwa, Western Australia

We were able to go on two exchanges this week: One with the Duncraig elders (I was with Elder Tiikana), and the other with the Clarkson elders (I was with Elder Rowan). Otherwise, not much exciting stuff happened.

Same ol' missionary work, although we did put Kaurim (a person we are teaching) on date for baptism for the 1st of June. So, that's good. We've been reading the Book of Mormon with another family we are teaching, and they are getting into the story of it all. The work is definitely progressing here.

Also, this week was Anzac day. That is when Australia and New Zealand remember all the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the Great World Wars. It was cool to be here for that; we got to see a small parade. AND, to top it all off, I got peed on by a members dog we took for a walk the other day. 😎🐕

Really good week!

PS - Here are some pics of us with members from both Merriwa and Bunbury ward, Anzac Day, and some cool sunsets.

This has been a fantastic week. We were able to meet with some of the people we are teaching and help them learn more. There is true joy and happiness in feeling the Atonement of Jesus Christ in your life, but I do believe that it is a whole other thing to see others accept Jesus Christ and use His atoning sacrifice in their lives. When they feel of His love for them and understand their potential as a child of God, it is an amazing thing to see. I feel very blessed to be where I am and to be able to work with these people. I know that the Lord truly loves and cares for each and every one of us. He has a plan for us, and though there may be times we feel life is hard, that's how life's supposed to be. When we go through hardships, we can feel greater and greater joy. As it says in 2 Nephi 2:25, we are to experience joy, but not temporary happiness that comes from a fun night with family and friends--rather, real Godly joy that can continue with us throughout our lives if we just let it.

Wow, I wasn't meaning to say all that, but I guess the spirit guided me.

This was a BOMB-AS WEEK!!! SO MANY MIRACLES!!!

Last week, Elder Ardern came to the mission, and at Zone Conference, he challenged the whole mission to find 106 new people - that's two per companionship.  So, this week was crazy finding!  We saw so many miracles! As a mission, we found 161 new people and each companionship found at least 2 new people!!! Some found heaps more!!! The most number of new people that our zone has found since I've been here has been 11, and this week our zone found 27!!! The Lord definitely blessed us all, and I'm so grateful that I had the opportunity to witness this miracle.

Zone Conference with Elder Ardern

That's pretty much our whole week!  We did heaps of exchanges to help companionships find their people, so I have a few pics of that for yous.  But basically, we found most of them by just talking to people on the street - you never really know who the Lord has prepared. In our area, we found three and have return appointments for this coming week, one of them is for tomorrow!  I'm so friggin stoked!! HECK YES!
